SOCIAL DEMOCRACY
Social Democracy is a socialist kind of democracy where the masses participate in the selection of its representatives, the aim of the government is to improve the standard of living of the masses(people) socially, economically and politically. The state control the economy but private enterprises are allowed. It is not a capitalist system but a liberal-socialist system.it measures for income redistribution, and regulation of the economy in the general interest and welfare state provisions.It encourages the rule of law and supremacy of law over the ruler(government) and the ruled(masses).
The state or government control education and important sectors of the economy, it is also an ideology that supports economic and social interventions to promote social justice.it encourages separation of power and check and balance in the three organ of government.
It gives room for the people to RECALL the legislature if their interest are not represented.
The masses can request for the impeachment of the President of the federation if he is not favouring the majority.
The judiciary should be independent of other government and injustice must be protested against by the masses.
Plebiscite and referendum are also mean of public opinion on decisions or question on national development.
